Packet Pick Up shifts take place Tuesday - Thursday. Volunteers will help hand out packets to athletes.
Location: Renaissance Savery Hotel, Downtown Des Moines

Volunteers at the aid stations will get to cheer on athletes as they run by and refill water for the athlete aid station. This is the perfect job for loud, enthusiastic and encouraging volunteers!
Location: Corner of 7th St and Penn Ave

Volunteers will be assisting with the finish line (water, timing chips) and Post Race Party (food, high-fives)!
Location: Court + 2nd

The RipRoar team is smaller than you may think! Help our team get to their families after the race. Tear down begins at the start line after all the runners have started and the finish line directly after the tot trot.

The Des Moines Turkey Trot team is on the hunt for a group of outgoing, energetic and downright fun people to join Team RipRoar for the 2026 Des Moines Turkey Trot!
Each Thanksgiving, thousands of runners, walkers and families take over downtown Des Moines for one of our favorite mornings of the year. Behind the scenes is a small but mighty team of people working hard to make every part of the experience something special.
We're looking for a handful of positive, enthusiastic people to join that team, serving as greeters, helpers, experience-makers and do'ers of first impressions throughout three days of Thanksgiving festivities.
This is a paid opportunity to gain some real-world experience, meet a whole lot of people and be part of something pretty special in our community.
